ABSTRACT
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a highly poisonous gas, which can cause serious health risk. CO monitoring helps protect us from excessive exposure at home and in the workplace, reduce occupation-related risks for workers. Conventional electrochemical metal oxide semiconductors (MOS) based sensors have been widely used, but drawbacks such as poor selectivity calibration burden also limit their applications, e.g., wearable monitors. Aiming reliable, miniaturized, easy-to-use personal device development, we report colorimetric sensing platform, achieves detection of 1 ppm, dynamic range 0-500 high to over common interferents air, CO2, NO2, SO2, O3. This optical platform be expanded other air pollutants by adding chemical probes. We believe new introduced provide potential performance unit assessment devices.
