ABSTRACT
TiO2/ZnO nanowire arrays on stainless steel mesh for piezo-photocatalytic H2 production are synthesized via a two-step hydrothermal route. The photocatalytic efficiency under solar illumination can be enhanced by introducing mechanical vibration energy. As coutilizing the and energy (ultrasonic irradiation), nanowires show high production. also excellent recyclability stability. Additionally, this mesh-based structure retrieved easily from aqueous solution, which meet practical application demand. working mechanism attributed to effect, in piezoelectric field of bent ZnO built-in electric heterostructures efficiently separate photogenerated electrons holes effectively producing H2. Present results provide new strategy developing techniques.
