ABSTRACT
A novel bacteria-templated sonochemical route is developed for the in situ one-step synthesis of ZnS hollow nanostructures at room temperature involving artificial mineralization and microorganism disruption under ultrasound. The facile, novel, green method that we report here has potential as a generic means various other materials are currently unattainable through any method.
