ABSTRACT
A comprehensive thermophysical study of isomeric room-temperature ionic liquids n-butyl-3-methyl-pyridinium tetrafluoroborate and n-butyl-4-methyl-pyridinium has been performed. This paper reports various experimental data including density, speed sound, refractive index, surface tension, isobaric molar heat capacity, kinematic viscosity. From the results, coefficients thermal expansion, dynamic viscosities refractions studied have determined. Results analyzed paying special attention to different features isomers their structural differences. Several theories empirical relations applied in order predict physical properties liquids. good agreement between calculated found. Furthermore, a about versatility application relationships carried out finding that general density expansion can be estimated with relatively accuracy.
