ABSTRACT
We investigate the categorization of two or more proposed reaction mechanisms for each following oscillatory enzymatic reactions: (1) peroxidase−oxidase reaction; (2) glycolytic oscillations; (3) oscillations cyclic AMP in slime mold cells; (4) pH (5) calcium spiking cytosol. use prior work stoichiometric network analysis and reactions to identify mechanism essential nonessential species, specific role connectivity including identification leading instabilities, category. For model, we predict results several experiments relative amplitudes, quench phase shifts, sign symbolic concentration shifts compare them with those from available experiments. These other such as bifurcation analysis, response curves, entrainment experiments, qualitative quantitative pulsed species response, delay external periodic perturbation provide stringent tests mechanisms, appropriate ones are suggested discriminate among competing a given reaction. find necessity introducing new subcategory our reactions.
