ABSTRACT
The Wilhelmy plate technique was used to measure the dynamic surface tension of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(poly(NIPAM)) at air−water interface as a function poly(NIPAM) concentration and temperature. Initial periods negligible decrease were observed lowest poly(NIPAM). decay rate well interpreted by taking account solution properties under assumption diffusion-controlled adsorption kinetics. experimental data numerically fitted with an empirical Hua−Rosen equation, they in good agreement each other. Furthermore, ellipsometric results compared those for monolayer spread from its aqueous solution.
