ABSTRACT
Although the effects of paternal alcoholism on psychosocial adjustment children are well documented, impact fathers' illicit drug abuse their is poorly understood.The purpose this study was to compare living in families with drug-abusing fathers (n ϭ 40) that who abused alcohol and non-substance-abusing 40).Children experienced more internalizing externalizing symptoms than alcoholic or fathers.Interparental conflict parenting behavior mediated relationship between family type children's adjustment.Interventions improve reduce partner may lead better among custodial fathers.
