ABSTRACT
The Impact of Event Scale (ES; M. J. Horowitz, N. Wilner, & W. Alvarez, 1979) is a worldwide-used self-report measure to assess the frequency intrusive and avoidant phenomena after variety traumatic experiences. purpose this article psychometric value Dutch version IES (D. Brom R. Kleber, 1985) in several samples individuals who had experienced various stressors. reliability structure were evaluated 3 different (total N = 1.588). was adequate across construct validity assessed by using confirmatory factor analyses. Outcomes revealed robust over samples, generally supporting composition original IES.
