ABSTRACT
Over the 20 years since Thompson and Pleck’s review of masculinity measures, much has changed with respect to measurement ideologies. In this review, we examine theoretical foundations psychometric properties measures We frame a brief discussion 2 distinct conceptualizations ideologies, then provide synopsis 16 that meet our selection criteria: have been used in empirical studies 1995, were published peer-reviewed psychology or gender-related journals, contain full presentation properties, are not study-specific modifications earlier scales, focus directly indirectly on show there now generations measures.
