ABSTRACT
In response to canopy shade, plant vegetative structures elongate gain access light. However, the mechanism that allows a plastic transcriptional shade light is not fully elucidated. Here we propose activity of PIF4, key transcription factor in signalling network, modulated by interplay between BBX24 regulator and DELLA proteins, which are negative regulators gibberellin (GA) pathway. We show GA-related targets enriched among genes responsive under shade-response defect bbx24 mutants rescued GA treatment promotes degradation. physically interacts with proteins alleviates DELLA-mediated repression PIF4 activity. The proposed molecular provides reversible regulation may prove especially relevant fluctuating conditions.
