ABSTRACT
Abstract Light-field displays typically consist of a two-dimensional (2D) display panel and light modulation device. The 2D presents synthesized parallax images, with the total information content three-dimensional (3D) field dictated by panel’s resolution. Angular resolution serves as critical metric for light-field displays, where higher angular correlates more realistic 3D visual experience. However, improvement is accompanied reduction in spatial resolution, due to limitations To address this challenge, method enhanced utilization introduced, achieved through independent chrominance luminance. A static image system proposed verify feasibility method. employs bidirectional grating (BAMG) collimated source (CLS) create uniformly distributed viewpoints space. luminance film (LMF) (CMF) are utilized modulate information, images printed at pixel densities 720 pixels per inch (PPI) 8000 dots (DPI), respectively, align differential sensitivities human system. In experiment, achieves full-parallax, high-fidelity color 98.2° horizontal 97.7° vertical view (FOV). So, modulating separately has been proven achieve effects.
