ABSTRACT
Abstract Metabolic syndromes, including obesity, cause neuropathophysiological changes in the brain, resulting cognitive deficits. Only a few studies explored contribution of non-coding genes these pathophysiologies. Recently, we identified obesity-linked circular RNAs (circRNA) by analyzing brain cortices high-fat-fed obese mice. In this study, scrutinized conserved and neuron-specific circRNA, circTshz2-2, which affects neuronal cell cycle spatial memory brain. Transcriptomic cellular analysis indicated that circTshz2-2 dysregulation altered expression division-related induced arrest at G2/M phase neuron. We found bound to YY1 transcriptional complex suppressed Bdnf transcription. Suppression increased BDNF reduced checkpoint proteins such as Cyclin B2 CDK1 through BDNF/TrkB signaling pathway, neurite elongation. Inversely, overexpression decreased expression, proteins, shortened length, indicating regulates structure. Finally, showed wild-type Our data have revealed potential regulatory roles obesity-related on function providing novel link between metabolic syndromes
