ABSTRACT
Ideal imaging, which is constantly pursued, requires the collection of all kinds optical information objects in view, such as three-dimensional spatial (3D) including planar distribution and depth, colors, i.e., spectral (1D). Although imaging have individually evolved rapidly, their straightforward combination a cumbersome system, severely hindering practical applications four-dimensional (4D) imaging. Here, we demonstrate ultra-compact light-field (SLIM) by using transversely dispersive metalens array monochrome sensor. With only one snapshot, SLIM presents advanced with 4 nm resolution near-diffraction-limit resolution. Consequently, visually indistinguishable materials can be discriminated through SLIM, promotes significant progress towards ideal plenoptic
