ABSTRACT
Abstract Atmospheric corrosion is ubiquitous in China but varies a lot among different regions covering the cold, temperate, and tropical zones. Categorizing atmospheric corrosivity plotting precise map remain key interest for variety of industries. The present work proposed an hot-dip galvanized steels, which was constructed by inverse distance weighting (IDW) interpolation algorithm based on both measured rates coupons exposed at 2393 inland test stations calculated from prevalent dose-response function 2918 sites coastal regions. When category used as criterion, IDW power 2 performed best. Cross-validation results confirmed that prediction accuracy reached 85.6%. Based map, categories could be determined.
