ABSTRACT
Abstract Collichthys lucidus ( C . ) is a commercially important marine fish species distributed in coastal regions of East Asia with the X 1 2 /X Y multiple sex chromosome system. The karyotype for female 2n = 48, while 47 male ones. Therefore, also an excellent model to investigate teleost sex-determination and evolution. We reported first genome assembly using Illumina short-read, PacBio long-read sequencing Hi-C technology. An 877 Mb was obtained contig scaffold N50 1.1 35.9 Mb, respectively. More than 97% BUSCOs genes were identified 28,602 annotated. potential along chromosomes found that might be involved formation specific metacentric chromosome. chromosome-level reference lays solid foundation following population genetics study, functional gene mapping economic traits, evolution studies Sciaenidae teleosts.
