ABSTRACT
Abstract In the current solution for multiwavelength achromatic flat lenses, a one-to-one correspondence exists between number of writing phase distributions and wavelengths. Breaking this requires complex design parameter optimization. Here, we show that dual-layer cascade liquid crystal Pancharatnam-Berry lens (CLCPBL) with two specific coupled distribution layers can achieve three wavelength achromaticity without any optimization process. Similarly, in three-layer cascade, wavelengths increases to seven through permutations layers, adjustable amplitude factors. We fabricate CLCPBL 396.8 nm, 1064 1550 which theoretically allows light at 632.8, 532.8, 3383 450 nm form common focus, test such structure. Our enables wider range applications than conventional lenses.
