ABSTRACT
Oxygen vacancies (VO) effects on magnetic ordering in Eu0.5Ba0.5TiO3−δ (EBTO3−δ) thin films have been investigated using a combination of experimental measurements and first-principles density-functional calculations. Two kinds EBTO3−δ with different oxygen deficiency fabricated. A nuclear resonance backscattering spectrometry technique has used to quantitatively measure contents the VO. Eu0.5Ba0.5TiO3 ceramics known exhibit ferroelectric (FE) G-type antiferromagnetic (AFM) properties. While, ferromagnetic (FM) behavior Curie temperature 1.85 K found films. Spin-polarized Ti3+ ions, which originated from VO, proven mediate FM coupling between local Eu 4f spins were believed be responsible for great change ordering. Considering easy formation our work opens up new avenue achieving co-existence FE orders oxide materials.
