ABSTRACT
Hydrazine borane (N(2)H(4)BH(3)) is the novel boron- and nitrogen-based material appearing to be a promising candidate in chemical hydrogen storage. It stores 15.4 wt% of hydridic protic forms, challenge release H(2) with maximum efficiency, if possible all stored material. An important step realize this ambitious goal synthesize HB high yields purity, characterize it fully. In work, we report 2-step synthesis (salt metathesis solvent extraction-drying) through which N(2)H(4)BH(3) successfully obtained 3 days, yield about 80% purity 99.6%. was characterized by NMR, IR, XRD, TGA DSC, its stability dioxane water determined, thermolysis by-products were characterized. We thus present complete data sheet that should very useful for future studies. Furthermore, propose discussion on potential (with released either or hydrolysis)
