ABSTRACT
We report a photochemical synthesis of Pd/CeO2 catalysts with atomically dispersed Pd. Compared to cubic CeO2 support (Pd/CeO2-CP), truncated octahedral (Pd/CeO2-TOP) exhibited higher activity and selectivity, owing the synergy between Pd atoms (111) surface CeO2. When compared clusters nanoparticles via chemical reduction, Pd/CeO2-TOP showed excellent an enhancement factor 324 in CO oxidation, as well by 344 selective oxidation benzyl alcohol.
