ABSTRACT
Nano-dagger coated gauze was bactericidal against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with log reduction >7 for Escherichia coli (E. coli) Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). Compared the commercially available Ag gauze, ZIF-L nano-dagger more biocompatible a lower haemolytic activity, less cytotoxicity improved wound healing performance. Animal studies showed that can effectively kill bacteria in S. infection model mice. This novel offers an effective safe alternative patients to protect infections. study demonstrates first application of MOF coating as antibiotic-free dressing potent antimicrobial activity biocompatibility.
