ABSTRACT
Lanthanide ions have abundant excited-state channels which result in a radiation relaxation process generally accompanied by non-radiation process. However, processes will consume the activation energy and reduce luminescence efficiency of phosphor. Two lasers with an excitation matched ground state absorption excited were used to excite phosphors avoid This approach can achieve purpose populating specific states lanthanide ions, furthermore effectively tunes intensity color output sample. Results show that red emission sample is significantly improved this caused 4F9/2 level under simultaneous 1510 nm 980 excitation. Then when 808 co-operate sample, green obtained increased sharply because 2H11/2/4S3/2 efficiently populated. As proof-of-concept experiment, new has potential applications solar cells.
