ABSTRACT
We report a transition metal-free approach for the regioselective functionalization of benzylic C(sp3)-H bonds using alcohols and carboxylic acids as nucleophiles. This straightforward general route has provided various ethers esters, including twelve pharmaceutically relevant compounds.
