ABSTRACT
Herein, we demonstrate a simple, reproducible, and environment-friendly strategy for the synthesis of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) utilizing mango (Mangifera indica) kernel as renewable green source. Various analytical tools characterized as-prepared CQDs. These fluorescent CQDs showed significant water solubility with uniform size about 6 nm. The as-synthesized show significantly enhanced catalytic activity production α,β-unsaturated compounds from derivatives aromatic alkynes aldehydes under microwave irradiation in aqueous media. A potential mechanistic pathway role carboxylic functionalities were also revealed via various control experiments. protocol shows outstanding selectivity towards assessment over other possible products. comparative evaluation suggested higher radiation compared to conventional ways. recyclable represent sustainable alternative metals synthetic organic chemistry. cleaner reaction profile, low catalyst loading, economic viability recyclability catalyst, atom economy, comprehensive substrate applicability are additional benefits current according
