ABSTRACT
Abstract In this letter, an optimal calibration factor for mutual information effective signal‐to‐interference‐plus‐noise ratio (SINR) mapping (MIESM) scheme in fifth‐generation new radio (5G NR) is provided. By applying the to MIESM scheme, estimation accuracy of SINR can be improved. The minimizes mean squared error (MSE) difference between estimated and required SNR under additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) at a block rate (BLER) 10%. Simulation results show that optimized outperforms non‐optimized scheme.
