ABSTRACT
In this study, the innovation approach is used to estimate measurement total error associated with power system state estimation. This required because equations are very much correlated each other and as a consequence part of measurements errors masked. For that purpose an index, index (II), which provides quantity new information contains proposed. A critical limit case low II, it has zero II its totally words, does not bring any for gross test. Using measurement, masked by estimation recovered; then composed. Instead classical normalised residual amplitude, corresponding composed amplitude in detection identification test, but m degrees freedom. The processing turns out be simple implement, requiring only few adaptations existing software. IEEE-14 bus validate proposed
