ABSTRACT
In this work, the authors present a new algorithm for detecting faults in grid‐connected photovoltaic (GCPV) plant. There are few instances of statistical tools being deployed analysis (PV) measured data. The main focus study is, therefore, to outline PV fault detection that can diagnose on DC side examined GCPV system based t ‐test method. For given set operational conditions, solar irradiance and module temperature, number attributes such as voltage power ratio strings using virtual instrumentation (VI) LabVIEW software. results obtained indicate detect accurately different types as, faulty module, String, Bypass diode maximum point tracking unit. proposed has been validated 1.98 kWp plant installed at University Huddersfield, UK.
