ABSTRACT
The signal direction of arrival (DOA) estimation is an important research topic in GNSS multipath mitigation. Correct the number echoes as well their DOAs a critical information for following mitigation techniques. In scenarios, alternating projection method has been proved efficient estimating coherent incident signals. It shown asymptotically consistent performance maximum likelihood estimator but computationally improved from multi-dimensional searches to one dimension. AP initially assumed sources known, and source detection task was accomplished by other methods such minimum description length principle. this study, based on method, set iterative updating formulas are derived replace one-dimensional search, so further decreases computational complexity. A strategy also proposed. This designed compatible with tracking loop architecture receiver, bringing simplified implementation accuracy improvements at low noise. Simulation results illustrate superiority proposed method.
