ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to analyse eventual kinematic and electromyographic changes during a maximal 200 m front crawl at race pace. 10 male international level swimmers performed test. Images were recorded by 2 above 4 under water cameras, signals (EMG) 7 upper lower limbs muscles analysed for 1 stroke cycle in each 50 lap. Capillary blood lactate concentrations collected before after the variables interest were: swimming speed, length, kick frequency, hand angular velocity, limb foot displacement, elbow angle, shoulder roll duration phases, EMG muscle phase. Generally, parameters decreased, relative increased entry pull phases decreased recovery Muscle activation flexor carpi radialis, biceps brachii, triceps peitoral major trapezius specific over Blood concentration significantly These findings suggest occurrence fatigue, characterised selective according action.
