ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects five self-etch dental composite resin cements on cell viability bovine papilla-derived cells. The cytotoxicity (Rely X Unicem Clicker, 3M ESPE; MaxCem; KERR, Panavia F 2.0; Kuraray, BisCem; Bisco and Bistite II DC; Tokuyama) analyzed in a dentin barrier test device using three-dimensional (3D) pulp cultures. A commercially available culture perfusion chamber separated into two compartments by 500 mum disc. three dimensional cultures placed disk held place special biocompatible stainless-steel holder. Test materials were introduced upper compartment direct contact with cavity side disks according manufacturer's instructions. Subsequently, pulpal part containing perfused medium (2 ml/h). After an exposure period 24 h, survival determined MTT assay. Statistical analyses performed Mann-Whitney U-test.In test, similar Maxcem negative control group (P>.05), all other tested cytotoxic for (P>.05).The significance is being more important dentistry. potencies demonstrated these might be clinical relevance. Some include biologically active ingredients may modify metabolism when are used deep cavities or directly tissue.
