ABSTRACT
With the increasing awareness of warm asphalt technology, it is imperative to study properties binders containing additives. However, there are few studies on meso-scale binders. This paper aims meso-structure zeolite-asphalt system. The mesoscopic features studied with scanning electron microscope, and pores’ characteristics zeolite analyzed mercury intrusion porosimetry test. stereo microscope X-ray CT technology employed conduct two-dimensional qualitative analysis three-dimensional quantitative bubbles distribution in asphalt. Then, relationships between bubbles’ established. results show that macropores varies source synthetic has higher content macropores. produced by water have “the upper more bigger, lower less smaller”. Zeolites high large pores produce bubbles.
