Virtual Validation Method for Automated Driving Vehicles Based on Traffic Accident

ABSTRACT
With the advancement in automatic driving technology, testing methods-such as road test for conventional is difficult to verify safety and reliability of vehicles. Virtual method has become an important mean due technical superiority efficiency time consumption. This paper selects a highway traffic accident from China In-Depth Accident Study (CIDAS) database analyzes cause. Builds scenario virtual simulation software-CarMaker, including actual environment information, ego vehicle, other participants maneuver so on; then take hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) testing, ACC AEB control system based on radar simulator used ability ADAS respond scenario. Testing result shows that can reduce likelihood collision some way. process verifies feasibility functionality system, which will provide large-scale AD study
