ABSTRACT
Tailored optical output, such as color purity and efficient intensity, are critical considerations for displays, particularly in mobile applications. To this end, we demonstrate a replica molded photonic crystal structure with embedded quantum dots. Electrohydrodynamic jet printing is used to control the position of dots within device structure. This results significantly less waste dot material than application through drop-casting or spin coating. In addition, targeted placement minimizes any emission outside resonant enhancement field, which enables an 8× output highly polarized from
