ABSTRACT
Monolayer graphene oxide quantum dots (GOQDs) were obtained by oxidative cutting. The magnetic properties of GOQDs studied. results show that most are nonmagnetic, and only few weakly paramagnetic. ratio with the average diameter 4.13, 3.3, 1.67 nm is 1/14, 1/15, 1/70, respectively. It proposed edge states magnetism suppressed defects and/or correlation induced spins cancellation between fragments boundary, hydroxyl groups on basal plane major source GOQDs.
