ABSTRACT
As the world's oil reserves are dwindling, some researchers have been prompted to make a breakthrough further improve efficiency of exploration and production. One technologies used is heating crude oil. This paper presents modeling results heat treatment on using microwave energy. Modeling conducted by assuming that diameter well 11,16 cm, source applied surface well, cut-off frequency in air 1,56 GHz. 0.91 GHz, respectively. The energy generated radiation converted into which absorbed Consequently, this increases temperature through transfer mechanism. obtained showed about 200°C at depth 62.5cm, distance 3 cm from center well. Temperature along follows an exponential function, direction radially outward cylinder axis. It has observed decreases as measured cylinder.
