ABSTRACT
The influence of the plasma generation and propagation in a pulsed atmospheric pressure jet on gas flow is experimentally studied. discharge was powered with voltage signals both polarities amplitudes that ranged from 2.8 to 10.8 kV frequencies 1–5 kHz. It operated pure helium small admixture oxygen nitrogen. measurements changes are performed by means laboratory constructed manometer free membrane. Two action mechanisms have been identified described: electrohydrodynamic force mechanism thermal due fast localized heating. These two appear be counterbalancing or supporting depending experimental conditions. Besides, it shown can cause decrease velocity, probably dominant presence negative positive ions jet.
