ABSTRACT
To investigate the combustion modes and corresponding oscillation characteristics in various operational states of a rocket-dominated scramjet, ground direct-connect experiments are carried out. CH* chemiluminescence images, time-frequency analysis, pressure distributions employed. The impact factors, including MFR (mass flow rate ratio secondary fuel to rocket) relative position injection rocket plume, on process scramjet is obtained. results indicate that: (i) Three identified scramjet. cavity stabilized mode observed “rocket-off” case. exhibits assisted plume while 0.7 “rocket-on” Reducing 0.3 transforms mode. (ii) intensifies low-frequency oscillations (below 150 Hz), particularly region influenced by backpressure, suppressing higher frequency (beyond 300 Hz) presented (iii) effectively inhibits oscillations, reducing both range energy. However, based high-mass-flow (ranging from 400 fuel-burning at tail plume. (iv) Positioning injector upstream enhances overall stability, which significantly suppresses cavity.
