ABSTRACT
We present a five-locus 129-species phylogeny of Rutaceae from subfamily Zanthoxyloideae, with 193 ingroup samples representing 128 species all 18 genera in the Eriostemon Group and focus on generic infrageneric limits Phebalium its allies. Maximum parsimony Bayesian inference analyses were performed using three plastid markers (psbA–trnH, trnL–trnF, rbcL) two nuclear ribosomal (ITS, ETS). Asterolasia, Correa, Diplolaena, Eriostemon, Leionema, Nematolepis are each shown to be monophyletic, reaffirming results previous authors. The paraphyly Rhadinothamnus respect Chorilaena is addressed by transferring taxa into an expanded key presented. Microcybe reduced synonymy under recognised at sectional level, distinctiveness M. ambigua erecting new monotypic section accommodate it. denser sampling this study has not improved resolution among genera; there little support for most relationships genera, finding similar that New classifications keys presented Phebalium.
