ABSTRACT
Significance Promoter recognition and specific transcription initiation depend on the binding of a sigma factor to core RNA polymerase in bacteria. The activity factors is often regulated through sequestration by cognate anti-sigma factors. Although Rsd known as for housekeeping σ 70 , which responsible most gene expression exponentially growing Escherichia coli cells, mechanism from during exponential phase growth has not been investigated previously. In this study, we demonstrate that regulation achieved partner switch dephosphorylated histidine-containing phosphocarrier protein HPr bacterial phosphoenolpyruvate:sugar phosphotransferase system .
