ABSTRACT
Significance Homeostasis of Pdpn + fibroblastic reticular cells (FRCs) is thought to be regulated by hematopoietic cells. However, the cellular and molecular mechanisms such homeostasis have been poorly understood, especially under steady-state condition in adults. We show that dendritic cells, particularly CD4 conventional (cDCs), are crucial for FRCs adult spleen condition. The production TNF receptor ligands cDCs regulates FRCs, with SIRPα CD47 likely being indispensable TNFR cDCs. CD47–SIRPα interaction on may thus control which turn maintain T white pulp spleen.
