ABSTRACT
Significance The essential roles of cytoplasmic E3 ligases in the protein quality control (PQC) pathways have been increasingly highlighted yeast and animal studies. However, plants, only CHIP ligase has characterized, while knowledge PQC remains rudimentary. Misfolded Protein Sensing RING 1 (MPSR1), a self-regulatory sensor system that functions occurrence misfolded proteins, is an identified plants directly recognizes emergent proteins independently chaperones. In addition, MPSR1 sustains integrity activity 26S proteasome under proteotoxic stress. Given well conserved eukaryotes, this study sheds light on pathway present particularly beyond.
