ABSTRACT
The present study compared 30 patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FS) to healthy control subjects matched for age, sex, and estimated intellectual level on standardized measures of attention, concentration, memory as well subjective ratings abilities sleep quality. In addition, in order investigate the relationship between cognitive functioning other physical psychological symptoms, FS completed pain severity, trait anxiety, depression. Results indicated that performed more poorly tests immediate delayed recall, sustained auditory their both quality were lower than those controls. Furthermore, perceived deficits disproportionately greater objective deficits. significant correlations performance concentration scores questionnaires severity anxiety. Implications these results multidisciplinary treatment programs are discussed.
