ABSTRACT
The current study aims at monitoring, measuring and evaluating the 'Safe havens for wild birds' campaign, implemented within framework of LIFE programme, in Greece more specifically Ionian Islands. detects attitude changes that occurred three target groups (pupils, local hunters residents) on islands where phenomenon illegal spring killing is intense. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted two phases, just before launch (2013) after completion campaign (2015), to enable a comparison answers data. results show pupils lesser extent residents, enhanced their knowledge awareness poaching, migration avifauna consequences migratory birds, while this aspect change not observed hunting community which still believes poaching should be treated as legal activity part culture.
