ABSTRACT
Aloe vera is an agricultural resource widely used in many fields, but it has not been fully exploited as a biological dye textile substrates. This work explored approach for using rinds (AVRs) the simultaneous dyeing and UV-protective functional finishing of silk fabrics. The optimal extraction conditions chemical composition (AVD) were investigated. colour parameters, colour-fastness, properties fabrics dyed with AVD tested. results showed that extracts mainly included polyphenols flavonoids. obtained depth (K/S) 7.9447 > 4 grades colour-fastness to washing rubbing without mordant. exhibited surprising ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) 2075.76 remained at 1241.23 after 25 cycles, which was much higher than standard recommended. research provides method value-added management waste natural textiles.
