ABSTRACT
ABSTRACTOrganochlorine pesticides (OCPs), persistent organic pollutants, in the contaminated soil have been analysed by a gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (MS) this work. OCPs were extracted with mixture of dichloromethane and n-hexane using accelerated solvent extraction at elevated temperature high pressure. The extractant was concentrated rotary vacuum evaporator cleaned up silica gel solid phase extraction. then separated chromatography combination an electron impact ionisation MS MS/MS mode. limit detection, quantification other important parameters GC-EI-MS/MS analytical method, such as repeatability, recovery so on, investigated presented. Limit detection achieved from 0.005 ng g−1 (p,p'-DDE) to 0.405 (dieldrin) 0.016 1.216 g−1, respectively. repeatability method below 8.3% 13.7% for short- long-term stability. Recovery all ranged 78.1% ± 1.5% 117.5% 3.2%. developed validated spiking experiments real samples. has used analysis samples that collected areas Vietnam. Results showed presence hexachlorocyclohexane isomers p-p'-DDT levels.KEYWORDS: Organochlorine pesticidesGC-MS/MScontaminated samplesaccelerated extractionsilica clean-up Disclosure statementNo potential conflict interest reported author(s).Additional informationFundingThis research is funded National Foundation Science Technology Development (Nafosted) under grant number [104.04-2018.331].
