ABSTRACT
The accessibility and use of evidence-based mental health treatment are crucial to children adolescents with behavioral disorders. However, there is little known regarding approaches in residential facilities serving adolescents. As disorders affect all sociodemographic backgrounds, it important examine identify differences approaches. This study's primary objective was describe the offered by varying region, ownership (i.e., private nonprofit vs for-profit/public), Medicaid status, client factors age, gender, race, ethnicity). Data from 2018 National Mental Health Services Survey (N-MHSS) analyzed using Cohen's h characteristics 576 facilities. largest varied race/ethnicity gender population composition. Particularly, psychotropic medication, seclusion, restraint were more prevalent when composition majority males, African American or Black, Native Alaska Native. Implications for research practice related intersection discussed.
