ABSTRACT
A new archaeorthopteran genus and species, Avionugonioneura jouaulti, is described from the Moscovian of Avion in Northern France. It shows several strong similarities, with two genera Contracladus (Pennsylvanian) Nugonioneura (early Permian), viz. a simple vein M emerging anteriorly M+ CuA+CuPa an branched CuA+CuPa, which are putative synapomorphies, suggesting possible attribution to family Nugonioneuridae. This discovery confirms very important diversity Archaeorthoptera outcrop Avion.urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:EC59DBD9-B229-4194-8790-64F97A07B49A urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:5A4457EC-92BB-494C-8F9F-DA376DCEE58F urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:6AA5F23D-20AA-4C02-8FF5-DD080EF52CE6
