ABSTRACT
In 2015, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) established first federal "home" Adult Protective Services (APS). This leadership has included working collaboratively with state Service systems to ensure that older adults and disabilities are afforded same protections against abuse, neglect, financial exploitation regardless of where in country they live. As part leadership, ACL created draft Voluntary Consensus Guidelines State APS Systems. undertook a process public stakeholder engagement analyzed resulting comments improve upon initial arrive at final version. article examines comments, including concerns raised by commenters about specific areas Guidelines, identified future research, reflections opinions on role government guiding development field adult protection.
