Growth of a platform business model as an entrepreneurial ecosystem and its effects on regional development

This paper analyses the dynamics of platform business models as an entrepreneurial ecosystem and its effects on regional development. Here, we seek to answer following research questions: (1) What do have development? (2) factors structures affect models? (3) How can describe in app stores hotel-booking industries? To these questions, authors first analysed two ecosystems smartphone store industry (Google Play's Android market Apple's App Store) (Hotels.com Booking.com). Second, platforms development Daegu Metropolitan City. We used in-depth interview methods with a semi-structured questionnaire, system (SD) simulation, literature review, statistical analysis methods. The results yielded findings. First, economic motivate change from focused areas multiple areas, hierarchical structure firms network diverse firms, scope scale economy-based leading creative identified three category that were important ecosystem, built up simulated causal SD factors. Third, found differ because openness produces different according which they belong.
