ABSTRACT
AbstractStick–slip vibration is simultaneously influenced by several factors that share complicated coupling relationships. In this research, an experimental investigation was performed to analyze the evolution law of stick–slip characteristics at different working conditions using a tribometer. The results showed disc rotational speed and normal force had noticeable impact on both coefficient friction (COF). Then Stribeck model, which can characterize COF in process, employed parameters were identified construct dynamic relationship between COF. Further, numerical simulations respectively considering neglecting model conducted via established tribometer analytical model. It found simulation influence better agreement with results, as depends combined effect parameters. Therefore, crucial accurately reveal characteristics. Keywords: Stick–slip vibrationStribeck modelcoefficient frictionparameter identificationnumerical Disclosure StatementNo potential conflict interest reported author(s).Additional informationFundingThe authors are grateful for financial support National Natural Science Foundation China (no.
