ABSTRACT
Diabetes is a chronic disease that has affected millions of people worldwide. The current treatments for diabetes, such as insulin therapy and oral medications, have limitations, including adverse effects high costs. Therefore, there need new effective diabetes. Recent studies shown plants from the Chenopodiaceae family anti-diabetic properties. In this study, we identified 22 been reported to These contain various bioactive compounds, flavonoids, alkaloids, phenols effects. Some these compounds can enhance secretion, improve glucose uptake, reduce blood levels. properties investigated in vitro vivo studies, results are promising. Several levels animal models diabetes significantly. Overall, findings study suggest potential safe treatment options Further research needed fully understand plants' mechanisms action safety profile. However, provide promising avenue developing drugs natural sources. Specifically, I've outlined three significant mechanisms: stimulation enhancement inhibition gluconeogenesis, all which attributed found medicinal plants.
